Biography

Stuart McKinnon leads Fine Times Canada as Editor-in-Chief, setting editorial direction and overseeing a team of reporters and editors across the country. Under his leadership, the newsroom has expanded its investigative capacity and deepened its coverage of federal policy, economic trends, and the evolving Canadian media landscape.

Stuart built his career over two decades in Canadian journalism. He spent nine years at the Globe and Mail, rising from general assignment reporter to national editor. Before that, he covered Parliament Hill for the Ottawa Citizen and worked the city desk at the Toronto Star. His Globe and Mail investigation into federal procurement irregularities earned a National Newspaper Award in 2018.

Stuart grew up in Peterborough, Ontario, the son of a high school principal and a nurse.
