Started noticing this Tuesday morning - my usual Bitcoin Cash deposits that normally confirm in 20-30 minutes are now taking 6+ hours to show up in casino balances. Hit both Vave and Metaspins with BCH transfers and both are showing the same pattern.

The blockchain shows confirmations going through normally (6 confirmations within 90 minutes), but the casinos aren't crediting accounts until way later. Vave support said they're "experiencing technical delays with BCH processing" but couldn't give a timeline.

Network upgrade impact?

BCH had that network upgrade on January 15th that was supposed to improve transaction throughput. Wondering if the casinos are having issues with their wallet software recognizing the new block format or something similar.

Anyone else dealing with BCH deposit delays this week? Thinking about switching back to LTC for now but the fees are annoying.

Yeah, seeing the same thing at Cloudbet too. My BCH deposit from Wednesday took 8 hours to credit, which is ridiculous. Their live chat said it's a "known issue" but no ETA on a fix.

The weird part is other coins are processing normally - sent some USDT on Polygon the same day and it was credited in 15 minutes. Definitely seems BCH-specific across multiple operators.

Hold up - this doesn't add up. The BCH network upgrade was supposed to be backwards compatible, so existing wallet software shouldn't have any issues reading new blocks. If confirmations are showing up on-chain within 90 minutes like you said, then the problem is on the casino side, not the network.

More likely they're using outdated node software or haven't updated their deposit monitoring systems. Some of these smaller crypto casinos run skeleton tech teams and take weeks to patch obvious issues.

Funny you mention this - I've been riding a hot streak at Metaspins this week and kept trying to reload with BCH between sessions. First deposit Tuesday took forever, so I switched to ETH for the rest of the week.

Hit a massive 847x on Pragmatic's Gates of Olympus Thursday night and wanted to compound the win, but wasn't about to wait 6+ hours for BCH to clear when ETH was processing in under an hour. Sometimes you gotta adapt your deposit strategy to keep the momentum going.

That said, their BCH withdrawal times are still normal - cashed out 0.8 BCH Friday morning and it hit my wallet in 45 minutes. So it's definitely just the incoming deposit processing that's screwed up.

Back in my day, we didn't have these fancy cryptocurrency deposits taking 6+ hours to process. You showed up with cash, they gave you chips, end of story.

This is exactly why I stick to traditional payment methods when possible. All these blockchain "upgrades" just create more problems than they solve.

Tracked this across 12 crypto casinos over the past week - BCH deposit delays are widespread but not universal. The pattern suggests it's related to how individual operators handle their node connectivity rather than the network upgrade itself.

Sites using third-party payment processors (like BitPay integrations) are showing normal processing times, while those running their own BCH nodes are experiencing the delays. My guess is they need to update their node software to properly sync with post-upgrade blocks, even though they're technically backwards compatible.

LTC is definitely the safer short-term option if you need fast deposits. Fees are higher but still reasonable compared to ETH during peak hours.

Sorry for the basic question, but what exactly happens during a "network upgrade" that could affect casino deposits? Does the blockchain actually change how transactions work, or is this more of a software compatibility issue?

I'm new to crypto gambling and trying to understand if this is something that happens regularly with different coins, or if BCH is particularly prone to these kinds of problems after updates.

The BitPay connection makes sense - I've noticed Metaspins uses their processing and my BCH deposits there have been stuck at 2 confirmations for 8 hours now. Meanwhile my buddy in Calgary says his deposits at sites using direct node connections went through in under an hour yesterday.

This is why I keep telling people to diversify their crypto options. When one coin gets bogged down by upgrade drama, you're stuck waiting while the tables keep running. Should've listened to my own advice instead of loading up another 0.15 BCH this morning.
