Been tracking my Gates of Olympus sessions since October and something's definitely changed. Before the December 8th update, I was averaging bonus hits every 247 spins across 18 sessions. Since the update, it's stretched to 312 spins over 12 sessions.

Ran 1,440 spins at $0.50 CAD yesterday at three different sites and only triggered the free spins twice. The math doesn't add up to the advertised frequency anymore.

Anyone else tracking this? The RTP still shows 96.50% but the bonus distribution feels way off.

Your sample size is garbage. 12 sessions means nothing with high-variance slots. Gates has always been streaky as hell - I've gone 600+ spins dry then hit three bonuses in 50 spins.

December 8th wasn't even a Pragmatic update date. You're seeing patterns that don't exist.

Actually tracked this across four sites since November. Pre-December average was 1 in 251 spins (n=47 bonus triggers). Post-December showing 1 in 289 spins (n=23 triggers). That's a 15% variance which falls within normal distribution for this volatility level.

The real issue is sites running different RTP configurations. Betwhale shows the full 96.50% version while others drop to 94.50%. Check the paytable info tab - most players never bother.

Your tracking method matters too. Are you counting manual spins only or including autoplay? Autoplay algorithms can create artificial clustering that skews perceived frequency.

Switched from blackjack to slots temporarily last month and Gates was my main game. Kept detailed logs like I do for card counting - every session, every spin, every result. November 15th through December 20th, 47 hours of play at

.00 CAD.

First three weeks: 8,340 spins, 31 bonus rounds = 1 in 269 average. Week of December 8th: complete dry spell, 1,890 spins with zero bonuses. Following two weeks: 6,120 spins, 17 bonuses = 1 in 360 average.

The variance shift is real but could be normal volatility. What's not normal is the multiplier distribution within bonuses. Pre-December, I logged 15x+ multipliers in 23% of bonus rounds. Post-December, only 11% hit 15x+. That suggests backend tweaks beyond normal RNG fluctuation.

Been playing at Ozoon mostly since their version consistently shows 96.50% and the bonus buy feature works properly. Some sites have broken implementations where the buy feature uses different RTP calculations.

What's a normal bonus frequency for Gates of Olympus? I'm new to this game and hit the free spins 3 times in my first 200 spins, then nothing for the next 800. Is that typical?

Also, do different bet sizes affect the bonus trigger rate? I started at $0.20 then moved to $0.80 when I wasn't getting bonuses.

The December update definitely changed something. I run Gates sessions specifically for wagering requirements and track everything for tax purposes. October through November: 94 bonus triggers across 22,890 spins = 1 in 243 average. December 9th onward: 31 triggers in 11,470 spins = 1 in 370 average.

That's a 52% increase in spin requirement. Even accounting for variance, the shift is too dramatic to ignore. Either Pragmatic adjusted the base frequency or individual sites changed their RTP configurations after the update.

Been playing Gates at the local casino's electronic tables and online. Casino version definitely triggers more frequently - probably the 96.50% version. Online feels tighter since December but I only play $0.25 stakes so maybe different RTP tier.
