Posting this on the assumption it's true everywhere with real winters, but Canadian-flavoured specifics. Winnipeg winters (Nov-March) push my casino volume up ~40% vs summer. Cold snaps specifically (the -30C weeks) spike it further.

Weather as gambling-volume driver is probably universal in northern climates. Anyone with data points from BC / Maritimes?

BC winters are rainy not cold, but the dark-day effect is identical. November-February I play 35% more vs summer. Sunny BC summers genuinely reduce online gambling appetite.

Snowstorm-tested — Spin Casino's lobby holds up on slower rural connections, and Cloudbet's mobile site is the most usable when I'm tethered off a cellphone in a blackout.
